I still remember the first day at my workplace, lots of worries, low confidence, suffocating, awkward, uncomfortable and blah blah...
I had only one thing in my mind, I have to work in the field I had decided and there was no option in DBG instead of PGH which I luckily got here.
It was extremely difficult for me to adjust for the first 4 days as I was a fresher and had only theoretical knowledge. I look extroverted but actually I am introvert. I don't find it so easy to talk to new people. But because I am determined to fulfill my self-realization need, (as many things depend on my self-realization need).
So every day after returning from here I used to think, it was the last day here, but still the next day I used to wake up early in the morning and prepare my mind to go there and work.
It's been 2 months now and I'm working here with more confidence than I was before.
One major factor that helped me adjust and come out with hesitation is the manners I never forget when interacting with people. It is not because I am in HR field but also because of my family education which is inherent in me.
Remember, the first day or initial week at your workplace can be a tough day in your life but your determination to fulfil yourself actualisation need and your good manners and positive attitude always help you to adjust at your workplace.
